Dr. Mark L. McConkie is a professor of Public Management with the graduate school of Public Affairs at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs.

Dr. McConkie has published over one hundred scholarly presentations and articles and is the author of four books dealing with Latter-day Saint doctrine and history, including the recent Remembering Joseph, which is the largest compilation of stories about Joseph Smith in print.

He and his wife, Mary Ann, are the parents of nine children.
