Mr. Smith has served in the Educational System of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for 37 years in Utah, California, and Florida as a seminary teacher, institute teacher, curriculum writer, and researcher.
He and his wife, Gail, are parents of nine children and grandparents of twelve grandchildren.
